
Nawab Mushtaq Hussain

| His
real name was Mushtaq Hussain. He was
born on 24/03/1841. After completing
his preliminary education at maktab,
he became a pupil of Maulvi Rahat Ali
Amrohvi. He learned advanced Arabic,
Hadith and Fiqh. He came in contact
with Sir Syed Ahmad Khan in 1861 in
the United Provinces, after joining
goverment service. He started his career
as a humble worker of the Aligarh Movement
in 1866. He also became a member of
the Scientific Society. He has also
served in Hyderabad State under the
British in 1875. Due to his meritorious
services for 17 years, he was elevated
to the rank of a Nawab. He was a member
of the Simla Deputation in 1906. He
also played an important tole in the
establishment of the Muslim League.
He passed away on 27/01/1917, and
was buried at Amroha.
