Even being a very small place, Amroha has its fair share of history and legends. Even today, the people of amroha can be felt moving peacefully among the shadows of today, keeping an eye on their most precious possession, Amroha, even after death. Despite being such a small town, Amroha has bred some important people in the subcontinent namely the poet Musafi; the film director Kamal Amrohi (first cousin of Rais Amrohvi). The difference in spelling their names was always a matter of great irresolvable dispute between the two; poet John Alia (younger brother of Rais Amrohvi); Eqbal Mehdi, Sadaquein. Apart from these, Amroha can boast of great mothers who have raised great sons.
